They Make Wine in New York?!?

It’s true. Not only do they make wine in New York state, they make some great wines in New York!

In this episode we taste and review some very intriguing, almost exotic, Rieslings from the Finger Lakes area of New York. Definitely worth checking out! We were shocked by the different tastes and smells in the wines, and how different they were from each other.

Riesling tends to be an underrated wine, but if you are a spicy food lover, especially spicy Indian or Thai food, it is hard to find a better pairing than Riesling.

Listen in to find out about the history of wine in the Finger Lakes area and what makes these wines something we think you should seek out. And, we’ll share some of the fun and funky things we smelled and tasted, like ginger and airplane glue.

Wines reviewed in this episode: 2021 Dr. Konstantin Frank Dry Riesling, 2019 Forge Cellars Caywood Vineyard Dry Riesling, and 2021 Hermann J. Wiemer Dry Riesling.
