Beaujolais is a great Thanksgiving wine because it can handle the huge variety of flavors on the Thanksgiving table, complementing the food without overpowering it. With a mix of fruitiness, acidity, and the tiniest hint of smoke, Beaujolais can handle your aunt’s cranberry sauce and grandma’s marshmallow and sweet potato casserole!
So, this year we decided to go bonkers for Beaujolais, and we taste and review three reasonably priced and easy to find Beaujolais wines to let you know if any of them are worth your hard earned money.
Don’t set that Thanksgiving table until you listen to this episode. And, just a hint, skip the Beaujolais Nouveau. You’ll be thankful that you did!
By the way, we rated all of these wines very highly, and one we even gave a 10/10!
Wines reviewed in this episode: 2021 Jean-Claude Debeaune Domaine Pignard Beaujolais, 2021 Joseph Drouhin Beaujolais-Villages, and 2021 Domaine Dupeuble Pere et Fils Beaujolais.
