Let’s Talk About Sekt! German Sparkling Wine!

This episode is full of Sekt! Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

Sekt is the German word for sparkling wine. And there is lots of Sekt in Germany. In fact, Germany is the third largest producer of sparkling wine in the world. Germans are also the largest consumers of sparkling wine per capita - which just means that the Germans like their Sekt.

Content warning!!! We have Sekt for the first time in this episode. Ba dum bump.

Beyond making far too many jokes about Sekt, we explore the world of German sparkling wines, and let you know if they are worth the price. The good news is that Sekt is not expensive - afterall, you shouldn’t have to pay a lot for Sekt. Ha ha ha.

German sparkling wines also tend to be on the sweeter side, which is nice. I mean, afterall, who doesn’t need some sweet Sekt in their life?

You’re never too old to have Sekt. And you can have Sekt every day if you want. Seriously, it’s getting funnier, right?!?

We just invite you in to listen to us having Sekt. There. We said it.

Wines reviewed in this episode: Henkell Finest Sparkling Wine Brut, Fritz Muller Muller-Thurgau Secco, Markus Molitor Mosel Riesling Sekt.
